Colmar (Oudenaarde) invests in a Packo ice builder.


Ice water has been used for several years for the cooling of food products, and for process cooling, in general, because ice water (0.5 ° C) can cool down very quickly large amounts of product. Colmar in Oudenaarde has recently decided to buy a Packo ice builder of 61 kWh, installed and taken into operation by Koeltechniek Van Thuyne from Kruishoutem. The ice water is used to cool down quickly cooked vegetables, rice and meat. Jan Mestdagh, logistic and operations manager, confirms that ice water is needed to ensure that the quality is maintained and the shelf life is optimized.
