The processing of stainless steel holds no secrets for Packo. Our stainless steel components, equipment, services and processing units are, next to the food and pharmaceutical industries, used in diverse branches of industry.
pumps
Process pump for the general industry to pump pure and light polluted liquids. Applications: in the vegetable and canned food industry (blanchers and return water), waste water treatment, textile (washing, dying), chemical, industrial washing maschines, animal feed.
The pump is fabricated in 316L, electropolished.
Tank construction
Packo is a manufacturer of worldwide repute of stainless steel tanks and process vessels. They range from atmospheric (up to 30.000 l) to pressure vessels (up to 8.000 l) with sheet thicknesses up to 8 mm. Packo tanks can have a single or double jacket and diverse accessories integrated. We are all ears for our customers' needs; materials, sizes, volumes, surface finish (up to Ra 0,1 µm, electropolished), instruments (connections), etc. are a function of their particular requirements.
Ice water systems
Ice water as a cooling medium is of major importance in the food and drink industry, as well as in process engineering, bakery and confectionery industry, catering, air conditioning etc. A striking example is applied in the Packo ice (water) builder, i.e. economical storage of energy in the form of ice which is melted down for the refrigeration of products.
Cryogenic freezing equipment
Cryogenic freezing and chilling; i.e. freezing and chilling with the use of liquid nitrogen or liquid carbon dioxide as an expendable gas is used since several decades in food processing and industrial applications, such as pharmaceutical, chemical, automotive applications. Surface Treatment of Stainless Steel
Packo is specialist in diverse surface treatments of stainless steel. Packo disposes of installations and tools to grind, linish and hand polish, impressive pickling and passivation facilities and Europe's largest electropolishing plant.
Heat exchanger plates (laser welded)
The Packo heat exchanger plates are made in stainless steel, are laser welded, but not inflated. They are custom made and they are manufactured in sufficient big series. The plates can be used as separate heat exchanging plates, assembled in a unit or integrated as cooling or heating jacket in tank construction.
